Ensemble Q is proud to partner again with the University of Queensland for four beautiful concerts in the stunning GHD Auditorium in the Advanced Engineering Building. The multi award winning environmentally conscious building is situated overlooking the recently refurbished lake, allowing audience members to enjoy the performance with the stunning natural backdrop adorning the huge stage windows. Deliciously air conditioned with disability access and comfortable seats, the GHD Auditorium provides an exciting home to Ensemble Q concerts in 2026. The Sundays by the Lake series brings world class music in a serene location away from the hustle and bustle of the city, with plenty of free Sunday afternoon parking just a few minutes walk across the lake in the Conifer Knoll parking station (level 3). Getting there
Uber or taxi: ask to be dropped off at the Advanced Engineering Building (49) on Jocks Road, St Lucia
Bus: There is a large bus terminal just across the lake, 5 beautiful minutes walk to the GHD building. Count the ducks and enjoy the little turtle faces that pop up and greet you as you walk across the footbridge to the concert.
Car: There is loads of parking at UQ on a Sunday afternoon. Park for free in the Conifer Knoll parking station, top level (level 3) for a 5 minute easy walk across the footbridge.
Disability drop off is available right outside the entrance to the building at the end of Jocks Rd. There are some disability parking spots on the road leading to Jocks Rd, and at the top end of Jocks Rd.
