2025 Whiskey Bar Series

“I have been absolutely blown away by the opportunity to experience the Whiskey Bar series. There is something so life-affirming and generous about being let in on such intimate experiences of great music.”

Harking back to the days of the speakeasy bars, this gem of a venue is the setting for five very special, intimate Ensemble Q concerts in 2025. Enter the room through a
Narnia-inspired wardrobe and dissolve yourself in an evening of good company and incredible music played just for you by some of the finest musicians in Australia. Bring friends or make new ones, everyone is welcome.

This series is consistently sold out (months in advance) and there are strictly limited seats so you will need to be quick to get your tickets.
Adult $85 Concession $70
Venue: Mrs J Rabbits, upstairs at Electric Avenue, 23 Logan Road, Woollongabba.
Time: Tuesday evenings, doors open at 6.20pm for a 7pm performance

Seating is unallocated, however there are two 6-7 person booths that can be pre-booked by emailing [email protected]. Please purchase your tickets first and we will reserve the table for you if it’s available. Minimum 6 people for the booth booking.

Parking: Tuesday nights are very quiet so there should be plenty of street parking right outside Electric Avenue and in the local area.

Access is by a set of stairs with no disability access, with apologies. We have full disability access and facilities at our QPAC, Elm House and Sundays by the Lake series.

"Ensemble Q’s artistry sits within a realm that I dearly love - a deliciously Australian irreverence, a larrikin quality that pervades all that the Ensemble offers, so far removed from anything stitched up and yet so very pure to the truth and integrity of the music and the composers.”

Five very special concerts - Tuesdays 7pm

Note - all concerts except Tuesday 14 October "Harping On" have sold out, with only 6 tickets remaining to that concert. Add your name to the waitlist on any of the concerts to be notified of any tickets that become available, or additional performances that we may be able to create.

“The passion and pleasure that Ensemble Q enjoy when performing at The Whiskey Bar is wonderfully infectious. In the surrounds of The Whiskey Bar we are transported back to the European chambers where the music that they play was first created.”
