Jacob enoka, percussion

Jacob Enoka is a sought-after multi-percussionist who performs regularly with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. Jacob has worked alongside Queensland Ballet, Australian Ballet, Opera Queensland, Opera Australia, Orchestra Victoria, Bolshoi Ballet, Paris Opera and Ballet, Royal Ballet and with artists Cat Empire, Andrea Bocelli, Natalie Imbruglia, Birds of Tokyo, Ben Folds, Damien Leith, Eric Banna and more. A recent highlight saw Jacob lead the percussion section in Opera Australia’s 2023 production of Wagner’s ‘Ring Cycle’.
Passionate about chamber music, Jacob is a core member of Ensemble Q, and is frequently involved with Ensemble Trivium and Camerata - Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra. Jacob has performed in a number festivals including the Brisbane Festival, Cairns Festival, North Australian Festival of Arts, Tyalgum Music Festival and most notably, the Australian Festival of Chamber music wherein he performed several Australian and World Premieres.
Jacob is an avid educator, having developed and presented workshops and professional development for Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Education Queensland, and Queensland Youth Orchestras. Jacob tutors across several Greater Brisbane schools as well as at the University of Queensland’s School of Music.
