We are delighted to launch the 2020 Queensland International Chamber Music Competition!

After a hugely successful launch in 2019, the QICMC has fulfilled a great need for a platform of opportunities for both standard and mixed ensembles. Entry is open to a wide variety of ensembles with a maximum age of 35, and is designed to give incredible opportunities to talented young and emerging artists.

The aim of the competition is to promote the development and refinement of chamber music performance and practice, to create a flagship event to promote interest in chamber music of all kinds -  and in doing so, create opportunities for the best young emerging musicians to develop their careers.

A panel of esteemed musicians from across the country have been selected to adjudicate the competition, and a total prize pool of over $10,000 will be awarded.

The Queensland International Chamber Music Competition (QICMC) is organised by Ensemble Q Australia Inc, which is Ensemble in Residence at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University.

Take a moment to read the rules, entries are now open and will close at midnight on 15 MAY 2020.
